About David

The company was founded by David Ward, an seasoned senior communications professional with deep experience of achieving results in marketing communications, public relations and journalism over 23 years.

Prior to establishing Ward Communications, David worked extensively in various organisations as a Head of Communications, including at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills.

Before that he worked in various strategic communications and campaign roles, and at the sharp end as a Public Relations lead for the Police. Prior to this he was a journalist which included reporting for all UK national newspaper titles.

David is degree qualified and holds a Diploma in Professional Marketing (Chartered Institute of Marketing), a Diploma in Newspaper Journalism (National Council for the Training of Newspaper Journalists) and a Diploma in Management (Chartered Management Institute). He is a full member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) and the Institute of Internal Communications (IOIC). David is also certified in Learning and Development by the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD).
